But I don’t think Mercola is making this up, he’s just looking at the wrong data.

Be reminded that coffee enemas were described for many ailments in the Merck Manual (later removed in 1972).

Also, coffee in general was an area of controversy in the health community, being classified as a carcinogen for 25 years, and removed just lately (ref: World Health Organization Drops Coffee’s Status as Possible Carcinogen).

In fact, many studies lately are showing that coffee (not enemas) offer many cancer protective attributes. (Coffee consumption linked to decreased risk of colorectal cancer )

Coffee and coffee enemas have similar benefits, but enemas should be avoided due to the risks.
